Best Time to Trek in Nepal: Season by Season

Autumn (September – November)
Autumn is peak season: stable weather, crystal-clear mountain views and comfortable temperatures. It's the best time for Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp and Manaslu. Book flights and lodges early.
Spring (March – May)
Spring brings blooming rhododendrons, warmer days and the Everest climbing season. Afternoon haze is more common, but it's an excellent time for every major trek and for peak climbing.
Winter (December – February)
Cold but clear. Lower treks such as Mardi Himal, Ghorepani Poon Hill and Kathmandu Valley tours are ideal. High passes may close after heavy snowfall.
Monsoon (June – August)
Rain and leeches in the middle hills — but rain-shadow regions like Upper Mustang are at their best. It's also a great time for cultural tours and lush green landscapes.
