Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport and Transfer to Hotel

   Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative and escorted to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax and recover from your journey. Later, you can explore the bustling streets of Thamel or simply prepare for your upcoming adventure. In the evening, there will be a trek briefing session to ensure you are ready for the days ahead. 2. Day 2

   Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1467m)

   Duration: 7-8 hours The day begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the starting point of the trek. The journey takes you through winding mountain roads, picturesque villages, and lush green landscapes. You’ll pass by the Trishuli River and enjoy views of the Ganesh Himal and Langtang range. Upon arrival in Syabrubesi, you can rest and prepare for the trek. Overnight at a teahouse in Syabrubesi.

   Max altitude: 1,467 m

3. Day 3

   Trek from Syabrubesi (1467m) to Gatlang (2238m)

   Duration: 5-6 hours Your trek begins with a steady climb through terraced fields and small Tamang villages. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. As you approach Gatlang, you’ll notice the village’s unique architecture and vibrant culture. Gatlang is a traditional Tamang settlement, where you can experience warm hospitality and learn about their heritage. Overnight at a teahouse in Gatlang.

   Max altitude: 2,238 m

4. Day 4

   Trek from Gatlang (2238m) to Tatopani (2670m)

   Duration: 6-7 hours Today’s trail takes you through lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and scenic landscapes. The trek includes a gradual ascent to Tatopani, which translates to "hot water." This village is known for its natural hot springs, where you can relax and rejuvenate after the day’s trek. Enjoy the healing properties of the hot springs while soaking in the serene mountain ambiance. Overnight at a teahouse in Tatopani.

   Max altitude: 2,670 m

5. Day 5

   Trek from Tatopani (2670m) to Thuman (2338m) via Brimdang and Nagthali (3165m)

   Duration: 6-7 hours This day’s trek is both challenging and rewarding. You will ascend through rhododendron forests to Brimdang and continue to Nagthali, the highest point of the trek. Nagthali offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Tibetan peaks. After soaking in the views, the trail descends to Thuman, a traditional Tamang village known for its friendly locals and cultural experiences. Overnight at a teahouse in Thuman.

   Max altitude: 3,165 m

6. Day 6

   Trek from Thuman to Briddim Village (2229m)

   Duration: 5-6 hours The trail today takes you through peaceful landscapes, terraced fields, and small settlements. Briddim Village is a cultural treasure, offering a unique homestay experience. The locals, primarily of Tamang ethnicity, warmly welcome you into their homes. You can participate in their daily activities and enjoy traditional food, music, and dance. Overnight in a homestay in Briddim Village.

   Max altitude: 2,229 m

7. Day 7

   Trek from Briddim Village (2229m) to Syabrubesi (1467m)

   Duration: 6-7 hours The final day of trekking is a descent back to Syabrubesi. The trail takes you through verdant forests and alongside the river, offering opportunities to spot local wildlife and birds. Upon reaching Syabrubesi, you can celebrate the completion of your trek and relax for the evening. Overnight at a teahouse in Syabrubesi.

   Max altitude: 1,467 m

8. Day 8

   Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu

   Duration: 7-8 hours After breakfast, you will board a vehicle for the drive back to Kathmandu. The journey retraces the scenic mountain roads, providing one last chance to admire the stunning landscapes of the region. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure or exploring the city’s attractions. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

9. Day 9

   Final Departure

   Your trek concludes today. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Kathmandu. Our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. We hope you leave with unforgettable memories of your Langtang Tamang Heritage Trail adventure.
